2013 is well underway and we are officially back from a much needed and very relaxing vacation. We can’t wait for all of the exciting features we have planned for this year. Stay tuned! M.P.K x
It’s the holiday season, and we want to share a little Christmas love. So, help us reach 100 followers on either Facebook or twitter, and one of our lucky followers will receive a fabulous stocking stuffer (as featured in our 12 DAYS ‘TILL CHRISTMAS: STOCKING STUFFERS posts). So far, up for grabs could be: a Missoni stuffed elephant, a Christian Lacroix notebook or perhaps a Tocca fragrance rollerball? Like us or follow us for your chance to win one of these amazing gifts!
Draw will be held: Dec 24 at 5pm EST.
This next stocking stuffer is perfect for anyone on your Christmas list. This Missoni stuffed elephant or bear is not only perfectly adorable, but the proceeds are also donated to OrphanAid Africa. We love both that this little guy is not only gorgeous, but charitable!
DAY 9 – Missoni Stuffed Animal [ $50.00 ] – in stores only
This little stocking stuffer is truly quite the catch. The Dannijo ‘umbilical’ bracelet is colourful and eye-catching, and is sure to be a conversation piece. This easy to wear item can be worn with literally any outfit (though we prefer it paired with all black) and at under $100, it’s quite the steal!
DAY 8 – Dannijo Bracelet [ $98.00 ]
We already adore the Chanel lipstick line, but when we discovered their shade, Rouge Noir, we absolutely swooned. This is a sultry, sexy shade that screams statement. Perfect for date night, or a night out with the girls – this will put you in touch with your inner vixen.
DAY 5 – Chanel Lipstick in Rouge Noir [ $34.00 ]
We are head over heels in love with this next stocking stuffer. I mean, how could we not love stationary inspired by one of our favourite designers, Christian Lacroix. These notebooks come in a variety of sizes and patterns, inspired by this fabulous French designer. It is a perfect way to record your thoughts, musings, inspirations and observations.
DAY 4 – Lacroix Notebook [ $16.00 ]
We are absolutely dying for this next stocking stuffer. Lana Del Rey’s CD, titled ‘Born to Die’ is our go-to for any social event or mood. It is a sexy, sultry throwback to old Hollywood, combined with a rough, unexpected edge that makes it irresistible. We absolutely adore Lana and all she stands for. This gift is a no-brainer.
DAY 3 – Lana Del Rey CD [ $10.00 ]
So the countdown begins – officially 12 days until Santa gets ready to make the rounds. We cannot wait! And to kick off the countdown, we will be releasing one of our most coveted stocking stuffers each day until then.
HINT: Stay posted to hear about an amazing give away that just might include some of these fabulous stocking stuffers! xx
DAY 1 – Paris vs. New York Postcard Box [ $20. 00 ]
Today’s most coveted stocking stuffer is a box of postcards comparing the beauty of two of our favourite cities, Paris and New York. We would prefer plane tickets in our stockings but this fantastic box of postcards will do for now.
Can you even stand to wait any longer? The lights are twinkling, holiday cards have been sent out, christmas carols are playing in the background and the smell from the kitchen is absolutely to die for… Christmas is just around the corner, and the BOXNOIRE girls are getting much too excited at the prospect of all the little things that are sure to be in our stockings Christmas morning. We’ve put together our top stocking stuffer picks, and we’ll be posting one item per day until Christmas. So Mom, Dad, Boyfriend – if you haven’t finished your holiday shopping – we suggest you take a look! xx
Stay posted for our first stocking stuffer pick tomorrow.
It’s that time of year again – it is time to mail out those holiday cards. And yes, its true – we haven’t sent out ours yet either. Writing holiday cards can be difficult, and time consuming – so we’ve put together 5 tips to make the whole process easier. We’ve got writing the perfect card down to a science xx
5 TIPS FOR WRITING THE PERFECT HOLIDAY CARD
- Make a list of everyone you are going to send one to before you start writing – this makes sure you won’t forget anyone
- If you know the person well, write a personal message
- If you are not familiar with the person, keep the holiday greeting generic using phrases such as “Happy Holidays” or ‘Season’s Greetings’
- One card per household – this can be tricky when sending cards to friends whose families you know well
- Keep your message short and sweet – it’s the thought that counts!
